Some feng shui experts believe that Chinese figurines and objects can be used as symbols and activators of life/home areas, among other symbols.

If you just fill your apartment with Chinese bazaar goods, nothing will change. There is no issue with the objects themselves, rather with their meaning. You should expose objects because they mean something for you, you personally.

According to some experts, Chinese coins exposed to the wealth area, strung with a red ribbon, will improve finances. Well, I think only for the Chinese. For Hungarians, for us, it is just an object like a million others, without meaning. Do you also remember the poor man from the Hungarian Folk Tales, whose whole fortune was a perforated garas = coin, which was worth nothing? So, why would you want to clutter your wealth area with worthless perforated garases?

The other favourite of mine is the Buddha statue. Most of the Chinese are Buddhist, they grew up in this spirit, it really means something to them to look at a Budha statue. How much did we Hungarians learn about Buddhism? Most of us don't know much, but for sure: "Buddha was a prince who gave up his family, all his possessions, to go on a spiritual journey."

Honestly, would you expose an object with such a meaning anywhere in your apartment? Would you risk resetting that area? Moreover, would you recommend it to someone else and take responsibility for the consequences, damages?

Snails and shells symbolize wealth, love, money, success… to some other people maybe, but not to me. I won’t recommend these to anyone. To me, they are the skeletons, remnants of dead animals without the meaning mentioned above. We usually do not decorate the apartment with skeletons and remains of dogs and cats, and we won’t  use the remains of snails, shells or starfishes either.

Can be any object or plant that brings great luck and wealth according to Feng shui , if you have negative experiences with it, and every time you look at it, a bad emotions come to your mind, it is 1000% that those won’t bring positive vibes into your life, rather the opposite, they will involve negative events.

Therefore be careful with these Chinese gadgets, they should be used only by Chinese people, we Hungarians have our own beautiful symbols. There is nothing better than surround yourself with things that fill you with happiness.
